The Parkston School Board will meet Monday, September 14, in the Elementary Conference Room at 5:30 p.m.
Preliminary agenda items include: call to order; establish a quorum; Pledge of Allegiance; open forum/public input; approve Consent Agenda-approve August minutes, approve claims, approve contracts; information/staff reports-high school principal, elementary principal, athletic director and superintendent; agenda items-Policy Review first reading IHC, IIA, IIAA, IIBA, IIBD, IIBFA, Policy Review second reading IGDG, IGDI, IGDJ, IGDK, IGE, IHB, approve Policy Review third reading IGCF, IGD, IGDA, IGDB, IGDD, IGDF; approve August financial report, approve resignation of Jill Nuebel, school board member, adopt 2026 to 2027 budget/tax levy request, discussion to add Plankinton School District to gymnastics cooperative; executive session; and adjournment.
The Parkston School Board wants to foster community feedback and input. Anyone who wishes to talk to the board about any topic is encouraged to do so. A place on the agenda is reserved for such conversations under 'visitor and correspondence.' The Board asks that you contact the superintendent in advance so that necessary arrangements, if required, can be made.
